Bitcoin has played a major role in establishing and streamlining the blockchain in the financial markets. As the foremost cryptocurrency, it has driven the peer-to-peer market to what it is today.

Ethereum was launched in 2014 with a presale for ether which received an overwhelming response. Ethereum moved its algorithm in 2021 from Proof of work to Proof of stake in a move that is intended to allow the Ethereum network to operate with faster speed and less energy.

Cardano is a blockchain created by a team through intensive experimentation and peer-reviewed research. This research serves as the backbone of this coin and makes it stand out among its contemporaries.

Establishing defi products, and providing solutions to issues like chain inoperability, voter fraud, legal contract tracing etc is the aim of Cardano.

Cardano’s eco-friendly and transparent nature makes it the perfect alternative for bitcoin. It has experienced a long term price surge making it one of the viable cryptocurrencies.

Binance is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world and Binance coin (BNB) is promoted by the exchange. It serves as a virtual token and as a crypto exchange platform that could increase in value based on its performance in the market. It has become the third-largest cryptocurrency in the world by market capitalization.

The transactions that typically take several days and involve many intermediaries can now be done immediately without any intermediaries and at little or no cost.

This bitcoin alternative was founded by Jed McCaleb who was a founding member of the Ripple Labs and developer of the Ripple protocol.

Sometimes issues arise between crypto miners and developers leading to a division and emergence of a hard fork.

  1. As you’ve mentioned privacy coins also, you should notice that they’re under big regulations now and can’t be easily accessed from anywhere. But Utopia p2p provided a way out for that. They already listed Monero on their no KYC decentralized exchange link removed and with this step they provided full and anonymous access to it no matter what will happen next with regulations. So other privacy coins may have the same way out.
